Context

This project began while working with Dr. Joffre Pérez — a close friend and a highly capable orthopedic and trauma surgeon with a well-established medical practice, but very little time to build an online presence that truly reflected his clinical level. I was grateful for the trust he placed in me to shape his public digital image.

The goal wasn’t simply to make a “nice” or “professional” website.

→ That should already be baseline.

→ That should already be baseline.

→ That should already be baseline.

The real objective was to create a clear structure that helps patients and families make informed decisions:

1. Who the doctor is,
2. how he works,
3. where he’s located,
4. what kind of cases he handles, and
5. how to contact him directly.

No forms.
No friction.
No show.

Just useful, organized, honest information.

Just useful, organized, honest information.

Just useful, organized, honest information.

The real goal

Within 10–20 seconds, the visitor should know:

  1. if the doctor is right for them,

  2. see real clinical judgment, and

  3. understand the next steps.

Everything else is secondary.

What guided the decisions

Although PESTEL and SWOT analyses provided an initial framework, the final decisions came mainly from time spent talking with Dr. Pérez — listening to how he thinks, how he works, what he stands for, his principles and values, and how he wanted his website to function for him.

Alongside that the usual continuous parallel research: persona development, contextual reading, demographic analysis, online behavior, regional political and cultural context, how people reach a doctor today, what they seek, and what they avoid.
