Drawing has always been a way for me to think.
A way of telling stories.
A way of staying present.
A regulator of attention.
A business.
Something that has been with me since I was a kid.
I didn’t have imaginary friends as a kid. I had drawings. Inside one drawing, another one would appear, and then another. I could stay there for hours, building stories as I went.
I’m not interested in a beautiful painting. I’m interested in what happens while I’m drawing, and what it communicates.
These works aren’t about mastery or technique.
They’re about attention, imagination, and staying with a thought long enough to see where it leads.
